FRANKENCORN

Call me crazy, as my kids do, but I have been skeptical of corn as a food product for a while now. I feelsomewhat vindicated by this notice sent to me about Monsanto’s engineered corn that will be in used inproducts sold throughout the country.  I have kept somewhat guarded about my thoughts on eating corn, not to put off my gluten-free comrades who depend on corn as an alternative ingredient to wheat.  But this headline gave me the shivers.

 

I try not to eat corn ever since I learned of the        genetically engineered seeds, and if I do, I keep it  limited to freshly picked summer corn from local  organic farmers.  But even with this limitation, my  stomach isn’t happy afterwards.  I also have to admit  that I cheat with some gluten-free snacks that  contain cornstarch, but for the most part, keep it out of my diet.   I suggest you might want to evaluate the benefits, or not, for yourself.

Think twice about adding new ears to your body.  I say, one pair of earrings is enough!
